I love this lavender! |

I am glad to see this organic culinary lavender is back - and in such a beautiful package. My first experience with culinary lavender was at a little bed and breakfast on the West coast - they made a lavender cheesecake for dessert and I was hooked! Evidently the lavender had come from a little local farm. While I've experimented with the various lavenders out there (some are grown in the US, most in France), I've been most pleased with the French variety that Splendid Palate carries. The taste is pure and the price is remarkably cheap in comparison to those grown in the US (go figure). I have used it to make pound cake, ice cream and creme brulee (it is easier to make than one might think!). I've also used it in sauces and enjoy mixing it with my teas in the evening (helps me to sleep soundly). I can't recommend this item highly enough.
