Description   Olives have been a key ingredient of Proven�al cuisine ever since the olive tree was first brought to Provence during Roman times. Green picholine olives are one of the well known varieties coming from Nimes, France. The firm, medium-green olive has a crisp and fresh taste. They are slightly "nutty" and wonderful in salads (such as ni�oise), sauces, antipastos and any number of recipes. We enjoy them straight from the jar alongside a favorite beverage or sandwich. Located in Nimes, France (on the fringe of Provence and the Rhone) Eugene Brunel has been producing fine olives since 1912. Green Pincholine Olives July 16, 2006 Reviewer: JLB from El Cajon, CA United States   These olives remind me of olives on a salad in a small restraurant in Monaco!
